Twenty five years ago I was part of a team that started a church in a small town in Siberia, Russia. Last October, 2018, I had the opportunity to travel there with my friend Laurie to their 25th anniversary celebration. I was greatly encouraged to see what God has done in the hearts of the believers there and to see how the kingdom of God expands. When I left twenty-five years ago most people in the church were teenagers. Today many are still there: they have families that attend the church, are pastoring, and are reaching out to other villages and even people of different faiths in the area. It was a great time of being encouraged as well as being able to encourage them with God’s heart and also financially as we were able to give money from people in Sozo towards completing the building of their church that had been burnt down three times in the last several years. God is good!
