We are honored to support the following mission organizations because of their tireless work to live out the life of the gospel of Jesus Christ. They are Bible-centered and are led by leaders of high character.
New Life Ethiopia
In 2007 our adventure in Ethiopia was launched with a diligent effort to improve the living conditions of 23 orphans living in an extremely poor orphanage in the town of Nazaret. That experience prepared us for the next step of opening a care center that uniquely addressed the needs of the fatherless and the elderly. While international adoption was allowed in Ethiopia, NLE placed 138 children into forever families in the U.S..
Today, working hand-in-hand with Ethiopian and American churches, we tenderly care for abandoned children brought to us by the government until they can be legally adopted into a strong Ethiopian Christian family.
In addition to orphan care/in-country adoption, NewLife Ethiopia works in some of the most difficult areas of Ethiopia sharing the liberating Good News of Jesus Christ to unreached people. NLE encourages indigenous churches, provides training for leaders and new converts, and brings kindergarten education to village children.
U.S.-Based Missions in the 10/40 window
Sozo Church is partnering with a US-based mission organization (name
undisclosed due to security reasons) which is focused on pioneer
Evangelism efforts in various countries in the 10/40 Window. Together,
we are fostering an indigenous-led effort focused on establishing
Bible-study cell groups on college campuses in a nation which is highly
restrictive to the Gospel.
Their central strategy is to identify Christian students, recruit and train them in Bible study methods and group leadership skills, and then encourage them to go back to their respective campuses to start cell groups. These cell groups function as bases for discipleship (for Christian students) and as witnessing platforms for non-Christians that have been invited to attend. God is bringing fruit, and over the course of the last few years over a half-dozen cell groups have been started. For more information, contact Pastor Brett.
