Who We Are

Sozo is a gathering of people who love Jesus, who seek to develop their character and lifestyle after Him, and who learn to live daily in our gathering and in our community in such a way that others would see Jesus in us and want to know Him.

Why the Name Sozo?

Many people ask what Sozo means.  Sozo is the Greek word meaning “to save, heal and deliver.”  It appears over 100 times in the New Testament and it includes the healing of the entire person: spirit, soul and body.

  • We believe it’s through Christ we are saved (sozo) spiritually and receive eternal life.

  • We believe it’s through Christ that we can be delivered (sozo) emotionally from hurts and addictions finding freedom to experience all God has for us.

  • We believe it’s through Christ that we can pray and be healed (sozo) physically from sickness and disease.

Our Affiliation

Sozo is a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance (CMA) denomination.

"The U.S. Alliance is part of a Christ-centered global movement more than 6 million strong. Our Acts 1:8 family—inspired by Jesus’ love and empowered by His Spirit—is passionate to bring the good news about Him to our neighborhoods and world." Statement according to CMA website at http://www.cmalliance.org/about/.

Our Vision
